Now I can congratulate one more cat family with finding its own private space))
The cat family didn’t get into the frame itself, as it was attentively controlling the installation process from under the bed and worrying about the unexpected man drilling the walls. I didn’t bother them and left them an ability to explore the new furnishing on their own.
While the sketch was matched, the customer decided to paint the construction.
On the one hand, I was unloaded from some work, on the other hand – I didn’t fully realized what the construction would be covered with and what it would be look like :)
At first, the construction was disassembled like as a half-stuff: a sisal pillar, shelves for ascending and descending, a top bench, a curved shelf, pillar’s fasteners, sisal rugs, mounting corners and screws with different kinds of dowels. It was important not to forget anything, as everything should be painted in the same color. From the very beginning we agreed that the installation would be our duty, so the disassembled form of the construction didn’t confuse anybody.
The customer chose a black paint with a low coverage.
The low coverage hasn’t been chosen accidentally. We needed a brutal effect that would fit, for instance, metallic furniture.
If to look at each element separately, there`s a risk not to understand such a choice of the color. However, together everything looks excellent!
Just this color stunningly fits the natural color of sisal and blends into the rugs’ color on the shelves.
There is a picturesque design repair in the apartment with stylish furniture, so the complex definitely suits the interior.
There is also a special protection layer from dust at the bottom.
Unfortunately, the floor can’t be seen right now. When we removed the protection it looked beautiful (however, my camera was already in the car).
The sisal rugs are just lying on the shelves. After the installation they are going to be attached with a special glue.
There must be covering on the shelves! This is safety element and a reliable covering from accidental falls.
It is desirable to secure the edge with the overlock, as dissolving thread – a favorite hobby of caudate pets ))
The sisal for the pillar was made of old stocks, which had been bought in large quantities this spring. The sisal was imported, in coils of 220 meters.
For this pillar it was needed only 100 meters.
Every cat owner know that a cat has no problems to ascent, but it has some while descending.
(However, any alpinist can approve that)
That’s why the system of shelves along the sisal pillar is made more for a descent than ascent.
For the cats’ comfort, there is a reversal place on each floor, and they are made like a checkerboard pattern.
It means that it is possible to go from one reversal ground to another through a hole.
Something like this :)
The efficiency of every element which we offer, is tested first on our cat family.
If they don’t like something, it is not comfortable or even dangerous, we correct it.
Especially when it concerns the sizes of the reversal platforms, shelves, passages and so on. If they are too narrow – it is uncomfortable for the pets and they are constantly falling, if they are too wide – there is no enough space.
We have the same ascent-descent system at our home, and it works perfectly.
The curved shelf is a favorite place in our nursery. We hope that it will come to mind of this family :)
For our shelf we’ve made once a rug with stickers. It doesn’t wiggle, however it makes a nasty sound when our cats play with it.
Now we are covering the shelf with sisal. It looks more esthetically and hangs on firmly :)
The interposition of the big shelf at the top and the curved shelf at the bottom is made for a comfortable descent (however, the descent can make some difficulties.
Crowns the construction “shelf-bench-nest” :)
It is designed for two or even three habitants.
We hope that the cat family likes its new personal place for life.
It is important to have a private corner though :)
A month later we got a letter form customer with several photos:
Good evening, Dmitry!
We’ve made a traditional Christmas photo session of our cats))…
Cats have gotten used to the construction and run up and down. We’ve wend them to jump on the side shelf.
To my surprise they don’t sleep on the shelves, they use it as an observation place. Maybe it is their own preferences.
In the case of the sphinx everything is clear – it sleeps near the radiator in winter. And the Abyssinia loves nests.
At the time of active games, the corner is always used. Cats learned climbing skillfully through the holes in the shelves.
Gavrik also likes the sisal covering. He rubs and sharpen claws with its help.
I like that the corner is very compact and suits the apartment.
Thank you once again for the limitless pleasure for every of us.
